"And at the end of the day, your feet should be dirty, your hair messy, and your eyes sparkling." - Unknown
Our days at The Children's Garden Preschool are filled with an incredible amount of learning. When you walk into our classroom, gym, or playground, you will see the children engaged and full of smiles!

All things nature...
Rain or shine we LOVE to play and explore the outdoors! Our classroom has two garden beds that we get to plant in and then harvest. At the beginning of this year we had beautiful sunflowers. We also got to pick blackberries from the community garden and learn from a community member about picking the green tomatoes and cleaning the beds at the end of the season.

Learning Outdoors
"Children don't remember their best day of television."
Through open-ended play outdoors, our students are learning many things, and their pure joy shows. Here are a few of the things they are learning:
* Gross motor skills as they navigate running, jumping, skipping, climbing, balancing, swinging, etc.
* Colors, shapes, counting, sorting, classifying
* Volume and measuring (on those rainy days)
* Working together, sharing, taking turns, and collaborating with others
SO......MUCH......FUN!

Circle Time
Every day we come together at the 'magic carpet' for an opening circle time and a closing circle time. While here, students engage in literacy and numeracy activities, rhymes/songs, storytelling, cooperation games, social emotional learning and more (not all at once). At the end of the day, we give compliments and share the best parts of our day!
