Meet Molly Ward!
Director & Teacher
I cannot tell you how excited I am to be starting The Children's Garden Preschool here in North Spokane! I have spent the last 13 years in education and currently hold a Washington State teaching license in elementary education with early childhood and English language learning endorsements. I also have a master's degree in curriculum and instruction.
Over the last 13 years, I have been fortunate to teach kindergarten, first grade, and most recently K-5 as a reading and math interventionist for the Mead School District.
I believe that EVERY child deserves an education that meets his/her individual and unique needs. There is not a one-size-fits-all approach to learning. My goal is to instill a love of learning through developmentally appropriate activities that engage children in meaningful ways. With a play-based and inquiry approach, our students will test their curiosity while also building independence.
Meet Miss Kalena!
Teacher's Assistant
We are thrilled to welcome Miss Kalena as a Teacher’s Assistant next year in our preschool program! Kalena brings years of experience working with children and teachers through many different capacities within the Mead School District. We are lucky to have her!

“I could not be any more excited for this opportunity and to work alongside Molly at the preschool.
I was fortunate to be a stay at home mom to my two boys for many years. I have now been in the Mead School District the past few years where I worked as a para educator, mainly with preschool and elementary ages. I love watching students grow and learn while walking beside them and encouraging independence and building confidence. I fully believe in meeting children where they are as an individual. Watching the pride students have in themselves when they accomplish their own goal or learn something new, brings me so much joy.
